Donald Bernell Pogue, 71, of Paragould, formerly of Leachville, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at his home. Born at Leachville, he was the son of the late Harvey and Dora Belle Bennett Pogue and had lived in Paragould for the past 30 years. He was a former long-time employee of brown Shoe Company of Leachville and Frolic Footwear. He was also a retired Assembly of God minister and a veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Freda Eubanks Pogue of the home; two sons, Freddie Pogue of Brunswick, Ga., and Ed Pogue of Lindsborg, Kansas; a brother, Buz Bolin of Manila; three sisters, Edith Green of Branson, Mo., Glenna Powell of Conway, and Narlene Tabor of Paragould; and three grandchildren, Ashley Pogue, William Pogue and Benjamin Pogue.

The funeral will e held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Gene Day and Rev. Benny Isom officiating. Burial will be in the Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.

The family will receive visitors this evening (Tuesday) from 6-8 p.m. at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville.
