Marie Blankenship, 90, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Lakeside Nursing Center. She was a homemaker, member of Monette First United Methodist Church, and had lived in Jonesboro five and a half years, formerly of Monette.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann Nichols of Paris, Tenn., and two grandsons, Mark and Rob Nichols, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, and husband, C. Norman Blankenship.

The funeral was held at noon Saturday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Active pallbearers were Dennis Finch, Sonny Wimberly, Jodie Brown, Jim York, and Gene Gathright.
