Stanford Eugene Parrish, 65, of Smithville, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a retired mechanic, lived in Smithville for six years, formerly of West Memphis.

He is survived by a special friend and companion, Barbara McDonald, of Smithville; his parents, Firest and Bertha Parrish of Bay; two sisters, Brenda Kennedy of Bay, and Marcella Despard of Branson, Mo.; three brothers, Bobby Parrish of Trumann, Jerry Parrish of Mountain Home, and Alvie Parrish of Bay; a son, Lee Parrish of Smithville; two daughters, Catherine Martin of Walls, Miss., and Cynthia McDonald of Charlestown, W. Vir.; a grandson, Buddy Martin, and a great-grandson, Benjamin Martin.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Macey Cemetery with Rev. Tom Welman officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
