Joe Charles Tippy - Osceola

Joe Charles Tippy, 50, of Osceola died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Osceola.

A lifelong resident of the Osceola area, he was a construction worker and was of the Church of Christ belief.

Survivors include a son, Joe Brandon Tippy of Osceola; a daughter, Bridgett Benentt of Seattle; his parents, Leroy and Joann Tippy of Wilson; two sisters, Nancy Duncan and Lisa Cook, both of Wilson; three brothers, Leroy Tippy Jr. and Perry Tippy, both of Wilson, and Gary Tippy of Etowah; and three grandchildren, Bailey Bennett, Blake Bennett and Brentley Tippy.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial was in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens at Osceola.
