Betty Lee Barrett - Lake City

Betty Lee Barrett, 62, of Lake City, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at Paragould, she had lived at Lake City for 10 years, formerly of Caraway. She retired from Basler Electric Co. in Caraway and was a member of Rivervale Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Owen Joshua Barrett of the home; three daughters, Angela Lee Roach, Rita Carol Holmes and Lisa Ann Bailey, all of Rivervale; four sisters, Nina Cornwell of Brookland, Nona McGhee of Perryville; Carol Shortnancy of Rivervale and Patricia Nelson of Lake City; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Barrett; her parents, Sidney and Lena Nelson; a sister, Imogene Hardin; and a brother, Landon Barrett.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rivervale Baptist Church at Rivervale with Rev. Alan Payne officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were David Nelson, William Tyler, Dale Barrett, Rodney Sharp, Chris Sharp, and Derick Nelson.
