Robert Edward "Bobby" VanKirk, 54, of Lake City, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born in Indiana and lived most of his life in Lake City. He was a farm worker and attended the Liberty Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include his mother, Addie VanKirk, of Lake City; four brothers, Gerald VanKirk of Lake City, Jay VanKirk of Lake City, Ray VanKirk of Davenport, Iowa, and John Vankirk, of Lake City; two sisters, Prissila Sokel and Martha Irwin, both of Three Rivers, Mich.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell VanKirk.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Emerson Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City with Brother Terry Adams and Sister Roma Adams officiating. Burial was in the Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.
Pallbearers were Charles VanKirk, Gene VanKirk, Jerry VanKirk, Steven VanKirk, James "Bunk" VanKirk, and Chris VanKirk.
