Barbara Lee Hughes, 65, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at St. Charles, Mo., she had lived in Monette before moving to Jonesboro four years ago.

She was a secretary and former Girl Scout troop leader and a girls' softball coach in Monette. She was a member of Monette First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Hughes, of the home; two daughters, Amy Hughes Lambert of Leachville and Marka Hughes of Jonesboro; and a sister, Carolyn Teeter of Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Gregg Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Reed and Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial was private.
