Willie Jean DeFur, 73, of Manila died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at the Manila Nursing Center.
Born in Manila, she had been a longtime resident of Evansville, Ind., before returning to the Manila area 30 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Herman Nance and widow of Clyde DeFur. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Nance and Jimmy Nance.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Tarrant, of Cresent, Okla.; her mother, Sarah Nance, of Manila; a sister, Dorothy Harrison, of Manila; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were 11 a.m. Friday in the Howard Funeral chapel in Manila with Rev. Glenda Johnson officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery.
