David Stevens, 62, of Caraway died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Lakeside Nursing Center.
He was retired from American Greetings, of the Baptist faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force, and had lived in Caraway most of his life. He was a member of Caraway Masonic Lodge 733.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Wade of Knoxville, Tenn., his mother, Vaudine Gramlin, of Caraway; a sister, Dorothy Puckett of Caraway; and two grandchildren, Aaron and Nathan Wade of Knoxville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Stevens, a sister, Nancy Christiansen, and a brother Jessie Stevens.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers were Gary Don Hurst, Bill Riley, Johnny Hawkins, Alvin Reams, Larry Barrett and Larry Sanders.
