Hugh Gregory Bonner, 41, of Monette, died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville.
Born a Helena, he was a 1980 graduate of Marvell High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was a member of the Turner Baptist Church and of the Gideons. He worked as a salesman for Greenway Equipment Co. in Blytheville and Monette.
Survivors include a son, Gant Caraway Bonner of West Helena; two daughters, Rachael Elizabeth Bonner and Rebecca Elaine Bonner, both of West Helena; his parents, Hugh and Gay Faulkner Bonner of Turner; two brothers, John F. Bonner of Vilonia and Brooks C. Bonner of Turner; and a sister, Lisa B. Monroe of Conway.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Turner Baptist Church with Joe Garner and Byron Roberts officiating. Burial was in Turner Cemetery under the direction of Bob Neal and Sons Brickell Funeral Home a Marvell.
Pallbearers were Mike Estes, Pat Haynes, Jeff Bess, Bobby Cary, Warren Sims, DeWayne Cummins, Phillip Gillespie, Robin Nix and Bill Stone.
The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Turner Baptist Church or the Gideons.
