Miranda Stephens signs with CRC

Miranda Stephens, a Riverside High School graduate, signed to played softball with Crowley's Ridge College.

Miranda was one of the first signees for the CRC Pioneer softball team. This will be the first year for women's softball at CRC.

Crowley Ridge College Assistant Coach Mike Meredith said there has been an incredible response for the first year of softball.

"We have ten signed and will have 20 to 25. We are getting some talented players," Coach Meredith said. "We are working on the schedule for the upcoming year. We will have some scrimmage games this fall with Williams and maybe other colleges."

Miranda batted 360 and had 26 RBI's her senior year. Her team won the regional championship and qualified for state this year.

Pioneer Head Coach is Steve Cremeens.

Miranda played for the Lady Rebels basketball team, tennis team and fast-pitch softball. She received All District honors in high school softball for three consecutive years.
