Leroy William Shortnacy, 72, of Hardy, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
A retired ranch foreman, he was of the Pentecostal belief. He had lived in Hardy for five years, formerly of Lemoore, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Shortnacy, of the home; his mother, Violet Shortnacy, of Lemoore, Calif.; four sisters, Carolyn Cole of Lake City, Fla., Francis Chadwell of Atlanta, Ga., Ellen Randall of Lemoore, Calif., and Dorothy Shortnacy of Avenal, Calif.; three sons, Timothy Shortnacy of Lemoore, Calif., Michael Shortnacy of Tehachapi, Calif., and Reuben Shortnacy of Lemoore, Calif.; two daughters, Glenda Fite of Caruthers, Calif., and Kathy Todd of Paradise, Calif.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Shortnacy, and a brother, Marvin "Bo" Shortnacy.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Caraway Cemetery with Rev. Terry Miller officiating. Services will be under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
Visitation will be this evening (Tuesday) from 6-8 p.m. at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
