LaDesta L. Wilson - Caraway

LaDesta L. Wilson, 72, of Caraway died Monday, May 17, at her residence. Born in the Lost Cane Community in Mississippi County, she lived in Caraway most of her life. She was a dispatcher at American Greetings and a member of Caraway First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Foreman of Modesto, Calif., and Pat McCann of Helena; a brother, W.A. LaFarlette, of Shreveport, La.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Kenneth Luff of Caraway and Karen and Jackie Tucker of Caraway; five grandchildren, Jackie Tucker, Jeremy Tucker and Kevin Tucker, all of Caraway, Ken Luff of Fontaine, and Kristen Johnson of Jonesboro; four great-grandchildren, Haley Luff of Bono, Brittany Tucker, Badley Tucker and Bethany Tucker, all of Caraway.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Helen Tosh LaFarlette, and one nephew.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Caraway First Baptist Church with Brother Rick Stevens officiating. Burial was in Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Mike Adams, Don stags, bill Riley, Jeff McCann, Kenneth Moss and Dwight Tosh. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Dennis Paren, Dr. Marc Monte, Dr. Michael Isaacson, Marvin Farley, Bob Goodman, Oscar Kee, Gene Whitenton, Danny Baugh and Howard Luff.
