Roy Miller Springer, 91, of Manila died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Manila Nursing Center. Born at Deering, Mo., he was the son of the late Ernest Boyd and Ollie Belle Skinner Springer. He was a longtime Manila resident, a retired mercantile salesman and a longtime member of the Church of God of Prophesy in Manila.

He is survived by four daughters, Mary Kessler of Corning, NY, Joan Robinson of Blytheville, Pat Holleman of Lake Cororant, Miss., and Deanna Keeton of Greenwood, Miss.; two brothers, Wayne Springer of Hornersville, and Billy Springer of Kennett; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Springer and a son, Gary Wayne Springer.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Jessie Whitington officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
