Verna Catherine Blansett, 77, of Caraway, died Friday, April 30, 2004, at the family residence.
Formerly of Trumann, she was a housewife and member of the Rowe's Chapel Baptist Church in Caraway.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse "Short" Blansett of the home; a daughter, Jean Jeffers of caraway; a brother, J.C. Lansdell of Trumann; two grandchildren, Gary Jeffers of Caraway and Randy Jeffers of Lake City; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Bessie Dunlap Lansdell, and two brothers.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rowe's Chapel Baptist Church in Caraway, with the Rev. Bob Kinnett and the Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial to consider St. Bernards Hospice in Jonesboro.
