Dorothy Beatrice Wade - Paragould

Dorothy Beatrice Wade, 92, of Paragould, formerly of Trumann and Manila, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Manila Nursing Center.

She was born March 29, 1912, at Boydsville, the daughter of Lonzo and Elizabeth Gifford Galyean. She was a factory worker and had worked at Monroe Auto Equipment. She was a member of the WestView Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and John R. Smith of Paragould; three grandchildren and spouses, Donna and Terriel Singleton, Stan and Debbie Smith and Kendell and Mary Smith, all of Paragould; great-grandchildren, Kenley and Cat Singleton of Paragould and Jacob Smith of Paragould; a sister, Christeen Galyean Edgin of Paragould; two sisters-in-law, Sadie Galyean of Leachville and Edna Agee of Nashville, Tenn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lee Wade; brothers, Otis, Buell and Doyle Galyean, a daughter, Mildred Leviece Wade; sisters, Norma Welch and Evelyn McGowan.

The funeral was held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Heath Colonial chapel with Rev. Scott Neathery officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of Heath Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Terriel Singleton, Stan Smith, Kendell Smith, Travis Galyean, Clifton Galyean and Lannie Edgin.
