John Terrell Ramey, Sr., 79, of Little Rock died April 12, 2004, at his home.

Born at Brinkley, he was the son the late Robert and Francis Willson Ramsey and had spent most of his life in the Little Rock area. He was a retired maintenance man for Reynolds Metal Manufacturing and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Muriel H. Ramey of the home; a son, John Ramey, Jr. of Little Rock; a daughter, Rosemary Brown of Searcy; a sister, Irene Weatherly of Rogers; a granddaughter, Christina Maginn, and great-grandson, Jonathan Maginn.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
