Bertha Mooneyham - Lake City

A memorial service for Bertha Mooneyham, 95, of Lake City, who died Thursday, March 11, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City was held Sunday at Lake City Church of Christ. Born in the Mangrum Community, she had lived in Lake City and Jonesboro most of her life. A retired cosmetologist, she owned and operated several beauty shops in Jonesboro and eastern Craighead County. She attended Southwest Church of Christ while living in Jonesboro and was a member of Lake City Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school classes.

Survivors include a son, James D. Mooneyham of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Teresa McCown, Dana Gibson, Van Mooneyham and Jonathan Mooneyham; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Wesley Mooneyham, her parents, a brother and a sister.

Burial was under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
