The bats weren't kind to Manila Saturday as BIC avenged Wednesday's loss to the Lions by defeating Manila 11-0 in five innings. Jared Camp took the loss for MHS, pitching two innings and giving up five hits and seven runs. Jackey Parker came in at relief for the Lions pitching two innings giving up four hits and four runs. Preston Despain got the win for BIC, pitching five innings giving up two hits.
Despain and Derek Rolland went 2-for-4 with Despain getting one RBI. Picking up RBI's for BIC were Brett Sexton, Mark Hawkins, Brooks Taylor, Chris Deeds, Matt Ibanez, and Jonas Rose. Matt Noble and Casey Hill picked up Manila's only two hits of the game.
Manila fell to Riverside in the second game of the day by a score of 6-4. Juan Moyeda pitched for the loss, giving up seven hits and striking out eight. Kevin Curtis led Manila, going 3-for-4 with one run scored with teammate Josh McDaniel hitting 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored.
The losses move Manila to 6-7 on the season and 3-2 in conference play.
