Maud Adams Ellis - Monette

Maud Adams Ellis, 77, of Monette died Sunday at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was a homemaker and member of Monette First Baptist Church. She had lived in the Monette area most of her life. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Sorority.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Lyn and Sherrie Ellis of Monette; a daughter and son-in-law, Jan Marie and Terry Brewer of Monette; four grandchildren, Chad Brewer, Amber Brewer White, Mark Aron Ellis and Chase Dylay Ellis.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, W.O. and ElMarie Lawhorn, her husband, Silas L. Ellis Jr., and a brother, T.C. Lawhorn.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Captain Lovell and Rev. Gary Gipson officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Active pallbearers were Bill Beach, Claude Earl Barnett, Charles Ross, Harry Adams, Jr., Scott McLaughlin, Ray Skinner, Ronnie Qualls and Bob Peel.

Honorary pallbearers were the First Baptist Church, Brandon Brewer, Cortley Brewer, Colby Brewer, John Lemmons, Harry Adams Sr. DeWayne Haigwood, Jimmy DeJarnatt, Gary Brewer, Ricky Brewer, Kenny Brewer, John Paul Masner, Melvin Redman and Van Redman.
