Alice Margaret Caldwell Downing - Jonesboro

Alice Margaret Caldwell Downing, 95, of Jonesboro died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at Lake City, she lived in the Lake City-Jonesboro area most of her life. She was a retired retail sales clerk and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include two grandsons, Larry Caldwell of Brookland and Dale Caldwell of Bellingham, Wash.; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Cedric Caldwell.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro with Rev. Mike Blackwood officiating. Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.
