Arlen W. Broege - Jonesboro

Arlen W. Broege, 66, of Jonesboro died Thursday, March 25, 2004, in Jonesboro.

Born in Warren, Ill., he worked as a supervisor for the Jonesboro Human Development Center. He was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Dacus Broege of Jonesboro; five sons, Arlen Broege of Rockford, Ill., Nelson J. Broege of Amboy, Ill., Martin E. Broege of Polo, Ill., Samuel Scott Broege of San Diego and Clark J. Broege of Lake City; two stepsons, Danny Mullins of Ashton, Ill., and Randy Mullins of Florida; two daughters, Rebecca Kay Jones of Freeport, Ill., and Teresa McFadden of McCrory; two stepdaughters, Sherry Chism of Parkin and Mary Ellen Hardin of Alagin, Mich.; his mother, Edith Leona Kuhl Broege; three sisters, Glorida Bower of Warren, Fla., Glenda Linneman of Freeport and Diane Leverton of Leono, Ill., several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a previous wife, Betty Jean McGee Broege, and his father, Alvin Martin Broege.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home with Jimmy Young and Jerry Thompson officiating. Burial was in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.

Grandsons served as active pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers were Lloyd Reddick, Owen Mosley and David Wolf.
