Vernion Ray - Cash

Vernion Ray, 77, of Cash died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at his residence. Born in Monette, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, was a retired farmer and had worked at Riceland Foods for 22 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 23.

Survivors include his wife, Peggie Wright of Cash; a daughter, Patricia Lloyd of Cash; two grandchildren, Trevor Lloyd and Derek Lloyd, both of Bono; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wil and Bertha Needham Ray; four brothers and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Jackson's Newport Funeral Home. Burial was in Holloway Cemetery.
