Donald Greer - Paragould

Donald M. Greer, 58, of Paragould died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004< at his residence. Born in Paragould, he was a self-employed truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Ogles Greer of the home; a daughter, Kayla Dawn Cole of Paragould; a stepson, Bryan Wilcox of Jackson, Tenn.; a step-daughter, Monica Thompson of Paragould; four brothers, Larry Greer of Paragould, Bud Greer and Claude Greer, both of Leachville, and Jerry Greer of Beebe; four sisters, Evelyn Gray of Lake City, Joyce Cope of Newport, Margaret Greer of Beebe and Bonnie Chandler of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Kaydra Cole, Sean Thompson and Ashley Vanhorn, all of Paragould, and Collin Wilcox and Brenden Wilcox, both of Jackson; and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Betty Brown Greer, a brother and a sister.

The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Heath Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel in Paragould with Rev. Wayne Faulkner officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery at Brookland.

Active pallbearers were Robert Simpson, Joe Chandler, Michael Ogles, Wayne Ogles, Sean Thompson and Herbie Ogles.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles Gray, Bryan Wilcox, Tim Henry and Robert May.
