Bobby Gene Gathright of Monette was awarded the Masonic Pillars of Solomon award on Feb. 6 at the Monette Lodge 448.

Mr. Gathright was the first recipient of the Pillars of Solomon Award at the Monette Lodge 558. He was selected by the Monette Lodge for his outstanding service and dedication to his lodge.

As stated by several Masons, friends and family members, "You can always count on Gene to do anything that needs to be done. He is very reliable and always willing to do the job. He loves his lodge."

The award was presented to Mr. Gathright by his lifelong friend and fellow Mason, Devane Baldridge.

Gathright was presented with a certificate for the Pillars of Solomon and a medallion. Gathright is a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He has been a member of the Masonic Lodge for 49 years.

Also present at the presentation was Gathright's wife, Norma, as well as several other family members and friends.
