Manila Lions lose to 5-A Blytheville in NEA Tournament
Manila's Lady Lions fell to the Lady Colts of Rivercrest 80-33 in first round action Tuesday in the Northeast Arkansas Invitational Tournament held at Arkansas State University. The Lady Lions were cold from the field from the start of the game. Rivercrest jumped out to 31-5 first quarter lead before pushing the margin to 51-12 at the half. Manila was able to score point for point in the third but could not overcome the deficit.
Michelle Eubanks led the Lady Lions with 11 points. Amanda Henson and Audrey Booth added six points each with Natalie Tippy and Ashley Girdley rounded out scoring with five points each.
The Lady Lions will resume play on Monday, Jan. 5, against Gosnell.
