Dora A. Craig - Lake City

Dora a. Craig, 96, of Lake City died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in DeKalb, Texas, she had lived in the Lake City area for most of her life, she was a homemaker and a member of Lake City Assembly of God.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Craig of Memphis and Gerald E. Craig of Lake City; four daughters, Mary Bryant of Fort Worth, Texas, Wanda Covery of Trumann, Linda Hayes of Las Vegas and Dorothy Craig of Memphis; two brothers, Billy Cleghorn and Bobby Cleghorn, both of Royal Oak, Mich.; five sisters, Bertha McDonel of Monette, Virginia Dillion of Lake City; Marjorie Simpson of Leachville, Helen Mitchell of Bernie, Mo., and alma Baldwin of St. Louis; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Craig; a son, Franklin Craig; and two daughters, Betty Miller and Lois Pyron.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Assembly of God in Lake city with Steve Crawford and Lane Dix officiating. Burial was in Nettleton Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
