Betty Sue Bowen, 60, of Caraway, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was a homemaker, member of Mangrum Church of Christ and had lived in Caraway since 1974, formerly of Marianna.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Bowen of the home; a son, Jason New of Caraway; four daughters, Donna Miller, Kim Couch, Kim Hurst, Julie Bell, all of Caraway; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Frank and Josephine Ripper.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Phillip Jones officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
Active pallbearers were Roger Williams, Gary Don Hurst, Roger Overman, Dairl Anderson, Mike Vaughn, and Jerry Vaughn.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Baugh, Paul Taylor and Wayne Fletcher.
