Monday night's matchup between rivals Manila Lady Lions and BIC Lady Mustangs was like the movie, "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly."
"The Good" in this case was the Lady Mustangs who dominated form the floor hitting eight 3-pointers and 14-two-point baskets. "The Bad" came from the Lady Lions as they fell 53-34 to BIC in senior girls action.
"The Ugly" was the shooting of the Lady Lions who went 0-13 from the three-point line.
BIC's Nan Lee Bridges led all scorers with 18 points followed by Holly Cagle with 16. Jae Ashabranner and Tara Roach added 10 points to round out the scoring for the Lady Mustangs.
Deborah White led MHS with 12 points followed by Natalie Tippy with 10 who left the game in the third with a concussion. Others scoring for the Lady Lions were Amanda Henson six; Audrey Booth five; and Ashley Girdley one.
BIC also took the junior girls game with a 36-22 win. Manila jumped out to 10-5 first quarter lead. The junior Lady Mustangs held the junior Lady Lions to two points in the second quarter to tie the game 12-12 at the half. BIC outscored Manila 11-6 in the third quarter and 13-4 in the fourth quarter to take the win.
Kasey Garrett led BIC with 12 points followed by Jessica Shepard with 10. Others scoring for the junior Lady Mustangs were Jera Ashabranner five; Stephanie Baldridge five; Ashley Tate two; and Breanna Cole two.
Manila was led by Kari Rameriz with eight. Rachel Cheadle added six, Michelle Daniel four; and Katie Veach and Christin Chipman put in two each.
