Homer Earl Copeland - Ash Flat

Homer Earl Copeland, 84, of Ash Flat died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, in North Little Rock. A farmer and an Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of VRW Post No. 8042 at Evening Shade.

He is survived by a won, Donald Copeland of Franklin; three daughters, Dorothy Despain of Lake City, Veronica Dark of Ames, Iowa, and Linda Sawyers of Germantown, Tenn.; a brother, Elvis Copeland of

Bridgeman, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ricahrd Sylvester and Annie Seay Copeland, a daughter, a sister and a brother.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Barker funeral Home of Salem. Burial was in the Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat.

Pallbearers were Sean Sawyers, Dedrick Dark, Curtis Copeland, Donald Copeland, Rick Dark and Donald Sawyers.
