A tribute to Miss MarieTribute honors Marie Kennett

The Show Time Band presented "a tribute to Miss Marie" on Oct. 12 at the Melody Theatre in Leachville.

The band, made up of musicians that has been a part of the original band, were Larry Meggs, R.J. Greenwood, K.K. Kennedy, Payburn Anthony, Paul Travis and Michael Anthony.

Opening the program was a group from parts of Arkansas, including R.J. Greenwood, "Pop" Burgess, K.K. Kennedy and Paul Travis.

Ronnie Kennett, Master of Ceremonies, called his mother to the sage and recited several incidents that happened in the first year of the theatre, which included Marie.

Entertaining for the afternoon were Steve Cook, Jordan Miller, B.J. Moody, Kyle Bruich, Rayburn Anthony, and Ronnie Kennett.

Tom and Beverly grant were the featured artists for the second half singing vocal, comedy and drama in their presentation.

During the finale, Tom Grant presented a cash gift to Marie in thanks for several years of guidance of the Melody Theater.

The show was produced and directed by Larry Meggs and Tom Grant.
