William Alexander Hickman, 47, of Manila, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at his home following a lengthy illness. Born at St. Louis, he was the son of the late Jessie M. Hickman and had been a Manila resident since 1960. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Blake Hickman of Burleson, Texas; a daughter, Brandy Hickman of Ennis, Texas; his mother, Varie Collins Hickman of Manila; four brothers, Bob Hickman of Manila, Jessie Hickman, Jr., of Shelby, N.C., Dewey Hickman of Dallas, Texas; and Bill Hutchison of Red Oak, Texas; four sisters, Jerri Myers of Golden, Col., Betty Smithee of Ft. Worth, Texas, Judy Hickman of Tampa, Fla., and Melissa Amlong of Red Oak, Texas.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery.
Mr. Hickman's brothers will serve as pallbearers.
