John Harold Thomas - Caraway

John Harold Thomas, 64, of Caraway and a former longtime resident of Manila, dies Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical center in Jonesboro. Born April 5, 1939, in Blytheville, he was the son of John Columbus and Susie Jane McClish Thomas. He was a farmer and of the Baptist belief.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy and Tracy Thomas of Paw Paw, Mich., Kenny and Karen Thomas of Caraway and Michael Thomas of Caraway; two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and John Veazcy of Blytheville and Connie Austin of Caraway; two brothers, Alton Ray Thomas and J.C. Thomas, both of Gosnell; a sister, Alice Faye Hyde of Oklahoma City, Okla.; an aunt, Ruby Turner of Manila; an uncle and his wife, Robert and Ole McClish of Manila; 16 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jenny Hornbarger.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Manila Cemetery with Rev. Mitchell King, Jr., and Rev. Matt Corkan officiating.
