Essie Norene Davidson Jeffers - Caraway

Essie Norene Davidson Jeffers, 83, of Caraway, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at her residence. She was a retired farmer, member of Caraway First Baptist Church, and had lived in Caraway most of her life.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Jeffers of Monette and Jim Jeffers of Alexander; two daughters, Patsy Crews of Caraway and Geraldine Dennis of Cherokee Village; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Jeffers, and her parents, Tom and Belle Davidson.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Caraway First Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Pallbearers were David Jeffers, Keith Jeffers, Brian Crews, Jeffery Crews, Colton Wood, Chris Guidry, Jeremy Browning and Brad Jeffers.

Honorary pallbearers were Mark Wood, Kevin Guidry, Larry Browning, Donald Jeffers, Tim Crews, Robert Anderson, Elden Anderson, Henry Finch, and Robert Adcock.
