Amelia Robins Anthony - Memphis, Tenn.

Amelia Robins Anthony, 90, of Memphis, widow of Hawley Anthony, died Monday, July 14, 2003, at Quince Nursing Center in Memphis. Born at Shrum, Mo., she was the daughter of Thomas M. and Elizabeth Long Robins and had been a Memphis resident for the past 15 years. She was a former Leachville resident and a member of the Leachville First Baptist Church. Mrs. Anthony was retired from the University of Arkansas housekeeping department and according to family members took great pride participating in senior marathon walks for charitable events.

She is survived by a son, Donald M. Anthony, of Memphis; two daughters, Carol Joy Carter and Janith Anthony Powell, both of Memphis; and five grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with burial in Leachville Cemetery.
