Albertine Hyde Safley, 85, of McRae died Saturday, June 28, 2003. Mrs. Safley was born in Paragould on Dec. 12, 1917, and was raised in the Hancock community.
She was the daughter of John William and Bertie Esther Cox Hyde. She was a homemaker and member of the McRae Church of Christ. She married Maurice Safley in 1937 at Black Oak.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shelia Dianne Lang and husband Roy of Judsonia; two brothers, Ronald Hyde of Washington Court House, Ohio, and Tommy Hyde of Marion, Ill.;, two sisters, Helen Conery of Pine Bluff and Frankie Butler of Elliott, Ill.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Safley Whitten of Black Oak and Sybil Graham Safley of Phillip, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Greyson Safley; a daughter, Janice; and son, William Maurice Safley. Interment was on June 30 at the Bethlehem Cemetery near Judsonia.
