Mora Kathryn Allen, 84, of Heber Springs, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003. She was born Nov. 4, 1918, in Manila, to James Andrew and Virgie Mae (Counts) Parker. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Hall Pickett and Lloyd Dick Allen, and a sister, Gladys French. She had lived in Heber Springs for 23 years, having moved there from El Cajon, Calif. Mrs. Allen was a retired restaurant owner. Her religious belief was Baptist.
She leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Charles E. Smith of Heber Springs; two grandchildren, Kathryn Burton and Charles Smith, Jr.; four great grandchildren, Stephanie Burton, Ralph Burton, Jr., Jeanie Burton, and Charles Burton; a sister and nephew, Dorothy Huskey and son Troy, both of Golden Valley, Ariz. She also leaves other nieces and nephews.
Services were held Saturday, May 31, in the Olmstead Chapel with Rev. Bennie Foster officiating. Interment was in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc., of Heber Springs.
