George F. Hudson - Pottsville

George F. Hudson, 72, of Pottsville, formerly of Leachville, died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at his home in Pottsville. The son of the late Earl and Mabel Hudson, he was born Dec. 21, 1931 in Leachville. He married Betty Scott on Dec. 22, 1951, at Leachville. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict where he was stationed in Japan. He was a supervisor with Brown Shoe Company for 25 years and later for Frolic Shoe Company and most recently employed at Riverside Furniture Company. He was Baptist in faith.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Hudson, of Pottsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jennifer Hudson, of Blytheville; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Larry Box, of Pottsville; a brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Denise Hudson of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Olivia Wortham of Benton, and Almedia and Frank Poe of Benton; four grandchildren, Jody Wayne and wife, Melanie, Box of Morrilton, Jeremy Glen Box of Pottsville, John David Hudson and Micah Melynn Hudson, both of Blytheville: two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Michelle Box and Kyleigh Mariah Box, both of Morrilton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Chaplain Jeff Cheatum. Burial was at Pisgah Cemetery at Pottsville under the direction of Humphrey funeral service.
