The Manila Lions bested a six-team field Monday to take first place in the Manila Invitational Golf Tournament at Big Lake Country Club.
This is the first time Manila has won the annual tournament since 1998.
The Lions shot a 166, followed by Piggott with 173, Valley View 178, Trumann 180, Gosnell 182, and Eat Poinsett County 206.
Medalist Klayton Seyler shot a 77 to lead Manila. Scott Townsend added an 89.
Piggott was led by Jeremy Lemmons' 85 and Jake Jones' 88.
Valley View's Craig Duncan shot a 79 and Jake Sitz and Nolan Dill each had a 99.
Andrew Walters shot an 87 for Trumann and Clay McClung added a 93, Jay Gee had an 88 and Byron St. Leurent a 94 for Gosnell. Jeremy Knapp shot a 102 and Lee Long had a 104 for EPC.
John Eric Hawkins of Buffalo Island Central shot an 86.
