John Homer Wilbanks - Flint, Mich.

John Homer Wilbanks, 89, of Flint, Mich., formerly of Leachville, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Genesy's Hospice Care Center in Goodrich, Mich. Born in Ben Lomond, he was the son of the late John and Nancy Bolt Wilbanks. He is retired from General Motors and was a member of the Osceola Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Fleeman Wilbanks of Flint, Mich.; a daughter, Helen Skaggs, of Burton, Mich.; two brothers, Charlie Wilbanks of Keiser and Porter Wilbanks of Bentonville; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
