Lee Monroe Healey, 71, of Leachville, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at his home. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late Claude and Maggie Moore Healey and been a Leachville resident most of his life. He was retired from Brown Shoe Company and was of the Church of God faith.
He is survived by a son, Vic LaRue Healey of Leachville; four daughters, Lavenda Hood of Wilson, Karen Chipman of Manila, Sandra Davis of Hoxie, and Paula George of Tishomingo, Miss.; two brothers, Claude William "Dub" Healey, Jr. of Yuma, Ariz., and Virgil Healey of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Betty Bowen of Trumann; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one very special nephew, Danny Odom.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Healey, in 1999.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
