Riverside athletes of the week

Von McDaniel is the Riverside Senior High Athlete of the Week. He is the son of Kent and Barbara McDaniel of Lake City. Von is a 5'10" Junior at Riverside High School.

His hobbies include playing tennis, basketball and working out. Von is on the honor roll. He is a member of Reels With a Cause, FCCLA and BETA. His favorite subject is lunch.

Von's most memorable moment was when he hit a trey against Brookland off the board.

Along with this honor, Von received a goody bag of candy and a cash prize donated by First Community Bank.

Becca Stevens is the Senior High Athlete of the Week. She is the daughter of Rick and Marcia Stevens of Caraway. Becca is a sophomore at Riverside High School and a member of the 2002-2003 cheerleading team.

Her hobbies are singing, listening to music, going to youth activities and hanging out with her friends. Becca is on the B honor roll. She had perfect attendance and has received the choir award for the last year years. At cheer camp this past summer, she received a stunt award. Becca is a member of Rebels With a Cause, FBLA, FCCLA, FTA and the Yearbook Staff. Her favorite subject is choir.

Becca's most memorable game was the Flippin game. Her goal for the Senior High Cheerleaders this year was to work together as a tight squad and be sweet to each other.

Along with her honor, Becca received a goody bag of candy and a cash prize donated by the City of Caraway.
