The Black Oak city council met in short session Monday, March 17, and finalized plans for their annual city wide fish fry.
The council set the date for the fish fry for April 12, beginning at 11 a.m., at Black Oak city hall. All residents and their families are invited to attend the free dinner held in their honor.
The council reviewed a copy of the City of Jonesboro's Property Maintenance Code, to use as an example of a code for use in the City for Black Oak. The council agreed to table the adoption of a code until they had time to study Jonesboro's example.
No other business was transacted. The fish fry will take the place of the regular April council meeting and the next scheduled meeting will be on May 19, beginning at 6 p.m., at city hall.
