Riverside athletes of the week

Blake Stotts is the Riverside Senior High Athlete of the Week. He is the son of Teddy and Tina Stotts of Lake City. Blake is a 6' sophomore at Riverside High School.

His hobbies include playing basketball, hanging out with friends and girls, hunting and fishing. Blake received the Student of the Month award. He is a member of Rebels With a Cause, FCCLA, fire marshal and 10th grade vice president. His favorite subject is biology.

Blake's most memorable game was last year's homecoming game. His goal for the Rebels is to improve with each game.

Along with this honor, Blake received a candy goody bag and a cash prize donated by Emery Campers.

Carrie Schoolfield is the Senior High Athlete of the Week at Riverside High School. She is the daughter of Murl and Cheryl Schoolfield of Caraway. Carrie is a junior and a member of the Riverside Lady Rebel basketball team.

She won several public speaking awards placing fourth in FFA Public Speaking, first in District FBLA Public Speaking and second place instate FBLA Public Speaking. She is a member of Rebels with a Cause, FBLA, FFA, FTA, student council, yearbook staff and a junior class officer. Her favorite subjects are speech and algebra II.

Carrie's most memorable moment was when the Senior Lady Rebels beat Paragould in the Tri-County Tournament. Her goal for the Lady Rebels is to have less team meetings, no more eight minutes and win more conference games.

Along with this honor, Carrie received a candy goody bag and a cash prize donated by the City of Lake City.

Kris Kelton, son of Donnie and Kim Kelton of Caraway, is the Riverside Junior High Athlete of the Week.

The 5'10" freshman is a member of the Riverside Junior High basketball team.

His hobbies include hunting and fishing. He is a member of Rebels with a Cause and FFA. He is also on the honor roll. His favorite subject is agriculture.

Kris' most memorable game was when he had 25 points in the sixth grade.

Along with this honor, Kris received a goody bag of candy and a cash prize donated by Woodruff Law Firm.

Kassie Douglas is the Riverside Junior High Athlete of the Week. She is the daughter of Mark and Sheryl Douglas of Black Oak. Kassie is a seventh grader at Riverside Junior High School.

Her hobbies are playing basketball, hanging out with her friends, watching television and shopping. Kassie is a member of Rebels with a Cause. She also had perfect attendance. Her favorite subjects are English and basketball.

Kassie's most memorable moment was at the Tri-County Tournament. It was her first time to play on the junior high team. Her goal for the Junior Lady Rebels is to continue improving.

Along with this honor, Kassie received a candy goody bag and a cash prize donated by Emery Campers.
