Ralph Edward Cloud - Lake City

Ralph Edward Cloud, 87, of Lake City, died Friday, March 7, 2003, at Monette Manor Nursing Center. He was born in Elwood, Ind., and lived in Monette and Flint, Mich., before moving to Lake City 40 years ago. He was a retired carpenter and farmer and a member of Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City.

He is survived by a son, James Cloud of Monette; two daughters, Lora Cole of Jonesboro and Mildred McKinley of Monette; three sisters, Hazel Garner and Geneva Scroggs, both of Paragould, Jewel Goode of Flint, Mich., and Wanda Dollins of Victoria, Texas; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha White and Mildred Horne, a brother, Earl Cloud, and a great-grandson, Dusty Wood.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. March 10 in the Emerson Chapel in Lake City with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of the Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.

Pallbearers were Daniel Rolland, J.J. Davis, Phillip Davis, Kendall Trinidad, Scotty Rolland, and Jordan Wood.

Robbie Cole served as honorary pallbearer.
