Big Lake Country Club in Manila was the host site Saturday aftrenoon for a public meeting concerning the ongoing duck blind controversy in northeast Arkansas.
In the meeting hosted by the Big Lake Sportsmens Association, Northeast Arkansas Duck Blind Committee members settled on a set of regulations that will allow the duck blinds to remain. The committee recommended sending a set of regulations to the AGFC to retain and manage the blinds for final approval.
According to a spokesman, the meeting was attended by approximately 60 persons from several northeast Arkansas counties.
Wildlife management areas involved includes Big Lake, St. Francis Sunken Lands and Dave Donaldson WMA.
