Lions end season with loss to Gosnell

Manila ended their season with a 52 - 44 loss to Gosnell in quarter-final action of the 3AAA South District Tournament Thursday night.

Gosnell jumped out to a 17 - 10 lead after one before Manila pulled within one in the second to trail 22 - 21 at the half. Gosnell used a 13 - 8 third quarter to hold on to a 36 - 30 advantage before advancing to semifinal action in the fourth.

Sophomore Matt Noble led Manila with 13 points. Others scoring for Manila were: Justin Hill - eight; Nate Morries - eight; Mitchell Gammill - seven; Justin Kirk - four; Jordan Wise - two; Boo Grayson - two. Gosnell's Justin Parnell led all scoreres with 21 points and pulled down 22 rebounds.
