Mattie Tacker - Black Oak

Mattie Tacker, 83, of Black Oak died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in West Memphis. She was a member of Marked Tree Church of God and a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Tacker, Ronald Tacker and Everett Tacker, all of Black Oak; a sister, Eva Burroughs of Tallahassee, Fla.; three brothers, Chester Perkins of Tyronza, Glen Perkins of Monticello and Leo Perkins of Memphis; four grandchildren, Keith Tacker, Kelley Tacker, Mandy Tacker and Kayla Tacker; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Tacker; her parents, Charlie and Minnie Lillard Perkins; a sister and five brothers.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis, with Gene Willingham and Tony Busby officiating. Burial was in Tyronza Cemetery.
