Marion Charlesteen Crabtree - Manila

Marion Charlesteen Crabtree, 83, of Manila died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2003, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Cave City, she was the daughter of the late Charley and Rossie Bell Meacham. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family and friends. She was a lifelong Manila area resident and was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Ann and Dennis Veach, of the Lost Cane Community; a brother, Thomas Meacham of Manila; four sisters, Rodell Bunch of Manila, Laura Hutton of Kennett, Pat Fyler of Batesville, Lawana Miles of Newport; a granddaughter, Candy Ann Crabtree McMinn, and one great-grandchild, Destiny Alexis Brooks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Clay Crabtree, a son, Charles Crabtree; four brothers and a sister.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Brother Ray Dill officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
