Lillie Lavella Kee - Caraway

Lillie Lavella Kee, 72, of Caraway, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. She was born in Caraway and lived most of her life in Caraway. She was a homemaker and a member of the Caraway First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar Kee, of the home; a daughter, Janis Barker, of Caraway; a son, Danny Kee, of Jonesboro; two granddaughters, Amanda Barker and Ann Marie Burch; two great-grandsons, Beau-Grayson Alexander and Hayden Cole Burch; four brothers, Paul Blake and Bobby Blake, both of Caraway, Alvin Blake and Freeman Martin, both of Dardanelle; two sisters, Thelma Mangrum of Hardy and Ruby Hunter of Killeen, Texas.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Nora Langley, Virgie Ford, and Marie Lamb, and by a brother, Floyd Blake.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Caraway First Baptist Church with Brother Rick Stevens officiating. Burail was in the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.

Pallbearers were Jerry Martin, Mark Bell, Bruce Ruffin, Joe South, James Glidewell, and Bill Riley. The deacons of the Caraway First Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
